Assembly is straightforward and made simple by following the included diagram/instructions. Modular components give you a little bit of freedom in deciding how to assemble your tower. Baseboards are sturdy and carpeting material is quite plush. Cutouts are well thought out, allowing cats to easily access all of the platforms. My elderly cat, Buffy, has never had a cat tree so she is still getting used to it, but it is a welcome addition to my home as I slowly transition Buffy away from sleeping on the back of the couch to sleeping on her tower.
