Height goes up, not out. The base stays compact enough for a living-room corner or a window. Check the diagram on this page against your floor before you order.
The wrap is micro-velvet, not the usual rough carpet. Dark Grey, Light Grey, Leopard, and Cactus Green are meant to sit with the rest of the room.
The top-perch pad comes off and goes in the wash. For the rest of the fabric, a pet vacuum or lint roller is enough.
