Does Your Cat Need a Feeding Station on the Tree?
Floor dishes work fine without dogs. They have three water bowls around the house as well so you don’t think they’re competing over resources, and they have several cat trees, scratch posts, treats and so many toys for them.
Dogs change the whole room. Some households have to have at least four of things like window perches and scratching posts, the favorite beds and boxes, and a mountain of the preferred catnip toys. Many owners have a cat tree that’s connected by screwing cylinders of wood to the base and platforms of the tree, and for some of the screws washers are also provided to tighten up the tree.
When Is a Built-In Feeding Platform Worth It?
The carpet underneath the base makes it wobbly. One feeding setup is 1.5 meters high and it has to be that high, because the last shelf is a feeding station. The sisal only wraps part of each post, limiting full-stretch scratch zones, while our 77-inch feeding-station tree works well since a cat likes to stretch and scratch on the large window sill.
Keep water fountains down low. At first they loved sharing the same cat tree, and as they grew up, they both needed their own space, and having separate trees also helps stop unnecessary fights. Maintenance means practicality is key for pet owners, and many cat trees feature removable and washable cushions, making it easy to maintain hygiene.
What If You Prefer Separate Bowls?
Most standard cat trees seem too flimsy or small. The cats like to bat at the sisal rope, and it’s been over a year since owners covered the posts with sisal rope and they’ve held up very well against sharp claws.
There is also a cat condo in every room. There should be a scratch post in almost every room, and the high feeding-shelf tower helps when owners want to get them a cat tree that will keep them away from the furniture. Cat trees offer various levels and platforms for cats to climb, explore, and rest, and these platforms are usually covered in soft, plush fabric or durable sisal.
A cat likes to sleep stretched out quite often. Older cats can’t comfortably twist or climb a height more than maybe a foot and a half, and the cats have been using the replacement posts just fine because the posts look thinner and taller so it looks like it would more likely tip over.
