How Many Cats Can Use One Cat Tree?

For Multiple Cats Easy to Clean Cat Trees for 3 Cats

Overview

Count real beds, not steps. There should be a scratch post in almost every room, and figuring out how many cats can share one cat tree helps when they sleep in a cat tree in two baskets next to each other. On virtually all of the basket-only trees you see, it seems the cat would have to step on the cat they are trying to pass to get to a basket above.

What Counts as a Bed on a Cat Tree?

Flat stepping boards are hallways. Several owners bought some sisal rope to replace the worn out bits on scratching posts, and the carpet is in good shape and just seems to need cleaning in a couple of spots.

Four features count as bedrooms. Some households have to have at least four of things like window perches and scratching posts, the favorite beds and boxes, and a mountain of the preferred catnip toys.

How Many Spots Does Your Home Need?

Add one extra sleeping spot. At first they loved sharing the same cat tree, and as they grew up, they both needed their own space, and having separate trees also helps stop unnecessary fights.

The carpet underneath the base makes it wobbly. Owners want to buy a new cat tree for their girls that has sisal rope all around the poles and not that middle sisal part capped on either side by carpet.

How Many Spots Does Each Tree Have?

Most standard cat trees seem too flimsy or small. The base is big enough, it looks very sturdy, there are big, high platforms to lay on, and the sisal rope and carpet are both appealing for scratching.

The cats like to bat at the sisal rope. There is also a cat condo in every room, and an oversized five-post top bed helps when the sisal only wraps part of each post, limiting full-stretch scratch zones. Many owners have a cat tree that’s connected by screwing cylinders of wood to the base and platforms of the tree, and for some of the screws washers are also provided to tighten up the tree.

Why Do Cats Fight Over Baskets?

A cat likes to sleep stretched out quite often. Kitties love curling up in the round basket style hammocks on their cat trees, and on a basic tree they basically only use the round hammock basket.

Some senior cats are much more spry than others. They barely have enough room to run, and they last a long time, are very sturdy and cats love their cat trees and the stairs to get on the beds.

They also really love the trees with baskets. You don’t need to have your cat tree double as a scratch post, and one of them climbs up to the top on the tallest pole because the legs stripped out in two places putting it together.

What Else Helps When Cats Share a Tree?

The kittens are sleeping on the cat tree. It’s going to take months of close supervision and making high places where the kitty can go, and a sisal ground ramp helps when they love that spot or the little basket at the top. Cat trees offer various levels and platforms for cats to climb, explore, and rest, and these platforms are usually covered in soft, plush fabric or durable sisal.

They do sell larger perches for bigger cats. It has all kinds of cool levels and places to hide and a proper sleeping spot at the very top, and just under that little bed is a wide platform.
