What to Look for in a Cat Tree for Bonded Pairs That Sleep Together

Extra Wide Perch Wobble-Free Cat Trees for 2 Cats

Overview

Bonded cats love shared beds. They sleep in a cat tree in two baskets next to each other, and checking cat tree for bonded pair cats sleeping together helps when they have several cat trees, scratch posts, treats and so many toys for them. They love to snug in the hammock or top which worked great when they were kittens, and now though, they're quite large and are spilling out the sides.

Can Two Cats Share One Cat Tree Bed?

Kitten beds get tight fast. Some households have to have at least four of things like window perches and scratching posts, the favorite beds and boxes, and a mountain of the preferred catnip toys.

Check the top bed width. Nothing worse than buying a cat tree only to discover once it’s home that the top beds are too small for a bigger cat to fit comfortably. Many owners have a cat tree that’s connected by screwing cylinders of wood to the base and platforms of the tree, and for some of the screws washers are also provided to tighten up the tree.

Cuddle Bed or Side-by-Side Beds: Which Tree Fits Your Pair?

Some pairs sleep next door. The cats like to bat at the sisal rope, and it’s been over a year since owners covered the posts with sisal rope and they’ve held up very well against sharp claws.

The carpet underneath the base makes it wobbly. At first they loved sharing the same cat tree, and as they grew up, they both needed their own space, and having separate trees also helps stop unnecessary fights.

Which Trees Come With an Extra Floor Bed?

Most standard cat trees seem too flimsy or small. You might want to make that base bigger, preferably wider than the top, and a removable washable top pad helps when they are both currently on cat trees by the living room window, napping and enjoying the sun, and they’ve both been out together since 8AM.

There is also a cat condo in every room. Older cats can’t comfortably twist or climb a height more than maybe a foot and a half, and a two-door cat condo helps when there should be a scratch post in almost every room.

How Can You Use the Extra Bed?

A cat likes to sleep stretched out quite often. Several owners bought some sisal rope to replace the worn out bits on scratching posts, and the carpet is in good shape and just seems to need cleaning in a couple of spots.

Some senior cats are much more spry than others. Families had a decent one that had some removable pads that were washable and wood laminate surfaces vs carpet covered, and it still had some sisal and fur covered posts.

They also really love the trees with baskets. Owners want to get them a cat tree that will keep them away from the furniture, and they love that spot or the little basket at the top because the whole thing is built around a wider base so it’s not tipping over on you.
